  • ISA certification, PMEL training, or an equivalent metrology certification is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of calibration and metrology principles, including accuracy, precision, uncertainty, traceability, and measurement system performance.
  • Hands-on experience calibrating temperature, pressure, conductivity, pH, flow, mass, balances/scales, and other process measurement devices commonly used in GMP environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, including the ability to independently resolve complex metrology issues and assess calibration results to determine equipment suitability for use.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP requirements, data integrity principles, compliant documentation practices, and calibration or maintenance management systems such as Maximo or an equivalent computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Strong organizational, communication, time-management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to guide peers and contractors, take ownership of calibration compliance, and learn digital business systems supporting maintenance, procurement, safety, and quality. Ability to meet physical requirements, including wearing required PPE, working in biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, supporting activities across Massachusetts Bio Ops facilities, and providing on-call support with a flexible schedule as needed.
