Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the KATCHUP service ("Service") provided by KATCHUP Inc. ("Company") and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and its users, as well as other necessary matters.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  • "Service" refers to the connection platform between U.S. college students, clubs, and companies provided by the Company.
  • "User" means a student, club, or business member who uses the Service in accordance with these Terms.
  • "Student Member" means a student enrolled at a U.S.-based university who has registered as a member.
  • "Club Member" means an individual who has registered on behalf of a university club to operate that club, and who, with the Company's approval, may post events and projects and manage applicants.
  • "Company Member" means a corporation or sole proprietor who has registered as a member for the purpose of recruiting students or running campaigns.
  • "Events" and "Projects" refer to recruitment or promotional posts published by Club Members or the Company, which may include application forms for students to submit.
  • "Share Link" refers to a URL that an Event or Project operator generates to share applicant information with external collaborators on a read-only basis.
  • "Paid RSVP" refers to an Event or Project application that requires payment through online payment or bank transfer before the RSVP is confirmed.
  • "Google Sheets Sync" refers to an optional integration that allows an Event or Project operator to export and synchronize applicant submission data to a Google Sheet connected by that operator.

Article 3 (Effect and Modification of Terms)

  1. These Terms become effective when posted on the Service screen or otherwise communicated to users.
  2. The Company may modify these Terms within the scope permitted by relevant laws when necessary.
  3. Modified Terms become effective seven (7) days after notice is given.

Article 4 (Service Provision)

The Company provides the following services:

  • Matching service between students and companies
  • Campaign information service
  • Recruitment information service
  • Email and push notifications for hiring, career, event, project, and promotional information, where the user has opted in
  • Application, RSVP, submission management, sharing, export, and Google Sheets synchronization tools for Event and Project operators
  • Paid RSVP support, including online payment through payment service providers and manual bank transfer confirmation
  • Other services determined by the Company

Article 5 (Membership Registration)

  1. Any person wishing to use the Service shall apply for membership by entering member information in accordance with the registration form designated by the Company and agreeing to these Terms.
  2. The Company may refuse approval if an applicant falls under any of the following:
    • Use of another person's information
    • Provision of false information
    • Other cases where membership registration is determined to be significantly detrimental to Service operation

Article 6 (Member Obligations)

  • Members shall safely manage their account information.
  • Members shall comply with relevant laws and these Terms when using the Service.
  • Members shall not engage in any conduct that infringes upon others' rights or interferes with Service operation.

Article 7 (Service Restrictions)

The Company may, after prior notice, restrict Service use or revoke membership if a Member violates these Terms or interferes with the normal operation of the Service.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Company is exempt from liability when the Service cannot be provided due to natural disasters, war, or other force majeure events.
  2. The Company is not responsible for Service interruptions caused by reasons attributable to the user.
  3. The Company is not responsible for damages arising from information that users obtain through the Service.

Article 9 (Payments, Notifications, and External Integrations)

  1. Some Events or Projects may require payment. When online payment is selected, the RSVP is confirmed only after the payment service provider confirms successful payment. When bank transfer is selected, the operator or administrator may review and update payment status manually.
  2. Online payment may require the user to log in. Payment processing may be provided by third-party payment service providers such as Toss Payments, and additional payment terms or policies of the relevant provider may apply.
  3. Users may opt in to receive hiring information, career opportunities, marketing, and promotional messages by email or push notification. Users may withdraw such optional consent through notification settings or other methods provided by the Service.
  4. Users may sign up or log in through Google Sign-In. Event and Project operators may also connect a Google account to use Google Sheets Sync. The user is responsible for managing access to their Google account and connected Google files, and may disconnect the integration at any time where the Service provides such functionality.

Article 10 (Dispute Resolution)

Disputes regarding these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the Seoul Central District Court shall have jurisdiction in the event of a dispute.

These Terms originally took effect on January 1, 2025, and were last updated on July 6, 2026.
