Role Summary
This role is part of an RF microarchitecture team developing hardware and firmware control subsystems for cellular SoCs and advanced RF transceiver architectures. Description
As part of an elite RF microarchitecture team, you will architect HW and FW sub systems for real-time mission mode operation, online calibrations, power management, and more. You will closely collaborate with design and verification teams, RF and cellular systems teams, RFFW and RFSW teams, and system validation and compliance teams to define, design, implement, and bring up wireless systems that deliver best-in-class user experiences.
Responsibilities
Define, develop, and author microarchitecture specifications for cellular SoCs consisting of CPUs, accelerators, fabric, memory, peripherals, and interfaces.
Map system and algorithm requirements to HW/FW partitions to ensure state-of-the-art design covering all aspects of the system including functionality and performance.
Ensure IP blocks and the SoC meet and exceed functional, performance, latency, debug-ability requirements within power and area constraints.
Develop simulation models to accurately capture architecture functionality, analog, digital, and FW interfaces,
Play a critical role in pre- and post-silicon verification, validation, and assist in bring-up, and debug of silicon.
This position requires strong collaboration with SoC, PHY, RF HW, RF FW, and SW teams to ensure the end-to-end system requirements are met.
Minimum Qualifications
BS with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience developing embedded architectures using RISC/ARM processors, memory, fabric, and peripheral interfaces and optimizing for low power / low latency applications
Ability to analyze and develop detailed models for RF transceiver control for both on chip and off chip components.
Solid experience with Matlab, Python, and C/C++ for system development, modeling, simulation, efficient analysis, and automation scripting.
Ability to work well cross-functionally with digital, analog, radio, verification, HW, SW, and FW teams.
