Description

We are seeking an exceptional software & data engineer who is passionate about Apple products and values; who has a passion for data, is comfortable in a fast pace environment and who is committed to the hard work necessary to continuously improve our ML data pipelines. This position focuses on researching, prototyping and production-izing intelligent components that rely on state of the art ML (multimodal LLMs, traditional ML) to help us reduce intensive manual efforts on our data operations.

Responsibilities

Translating and breaking out data/model needs into discrete, testable and implementable components
Benchmarking state of the art approaches with strong scientific rigor.
Implementing relevant components into our pipelines, with a strong bias towards building agent first systems.
Strong understanding of low-level distributed systems (multithreading/multiprocessing)
Strong Data Science and Machine Learning fundamentals.

Minimum Qualifications

BS in computer science, or similar engineering degree.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams
Results oriented with a desire to work in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment
Experience building production machine learning models using frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow is highly desired

Pay & Benefits — Cupertino, California, United States

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,300 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
