The Video Apps team is looking for a Software Developer in Test with a background in video/photo editing to contribute to the development of innovative tools for creative professionals, video makers, and visual storytellers. It requires a highly proactive individual with strong creative, technical and analytic skills and passion for new technologies related to computer vision/on device machine learning.

Description

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, writing, maintaining and executing end-end test cases manually and through automation using Swift and Python. You will drive all aspects of quality and process improvements to help the team ensure that our features are rock-solid and ready to be released to our customers. Report bugs with outstanding isolation and regression techniques will be the key to your success. This role requires balancing a wide variety of deliverables that will rely on your talent for managing priorities and communicating progress and risks effectively and systematically. Your ongoing curiosity and dedication to self-education in video/photo technologies as well as new testing techniques is what will set you apart. You will be working closely with other team members to help coordinate multi-functional test efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of experience in QA/QE
Minimum of 1+ years experience as a Software Engineer in Test
Programming in Python and/or Swift to prototype features, create test apps, and test with internal tools
Proficiency in testing mobile/desktop apps, and backend/APIs
Understanding of the software development lifecycle, SQA testing methodologies, terminology and processes such as planning, requirements analysis, testing and deployment
Proven bug detection, isolation, and regression skills
Able to extract user scenarios from software feature descriptions and requirements, translating them into effective test plans and cases
Strong familiarity with iOS and macOS
Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate test script development and reduce manual effort

Pay & Benefits — San Diego, California, United States

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $142,300 and $263,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
