Summary

In this position, the candidate will be managing a team of engineers for the Hardware Validation Engineering (HVE) team, working on post-Silicon hardware system validation for next generation Mac and Data Center systems. Our Engineering Team is responsible for testing and debugging issues on new system hardware thru the full product development cycle. Your team will be key technical contributors to the silicon and product build phases and will utilize your in-depth software, silicon and system knowledge to target testing on new silicon and system architectures.

Description

The manager will be responsible to work with cross functional teams include Software, Silicon, and Hardware engineering and program managements organizations on test execution deliverables, and debugging failures with these teams as well as external vendors to arrive at root cause.Thru this work you will need to analyze large data sets to find trends and anomalies in silicon or system behavior, and collaborate with your engineering team on the disposition of software and test failures to highlight failures. This will require reviewing system and silicon test coverage and working with cross functional Platform Architecture and Software teams on enhancements and changes as well as representing validation status and issue debugs in cross functional and executive meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
Minimum of 4 years of experience working on Test or Validation.
Previous experience in pre-silicon or post-silicon validation.
Strong background in computer architecture and IO protocols (i.e. PCIe, USB)
Programming experience in Python, C, Shell scripting.
Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $206,200 and $356,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
