Description

The Commercial team is involved in both the day-to-day running and long-term planning of Apple Music. The team provides strategic and operational support to the global Apple Music leadership team, leading fiscal planning across revenue, COGS, and operating costs.

We are looking for a leader to join our exciting team. In this role, you will oversee Apple Music’s commercial strategy, identifying and expanding new opportunities for subscriber and revenue growth across global markets and emerging business segments.

Responsibilities

Drive Apple Music’s commercial strategy, identifying and scaling new opportunities for subscriber and revenue growth across global markets and new business areas.
Develop market-specific commercial propositions in regions where the standard playbook does not apply, adapting to local consumer behaviors and market infrastructure.
Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities across new business verticals to accelerate global distribution, drive subscriber adoption, and generate new revenue.
Build robust business cases, including opportunity sizing and prioritization, and translate them into a structured roadmap of commercial initiatives.
Shape go-to-market strategies across markets, adapting global initiatives to local market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and consumer trends.
Craft compelling executive narratives and recommendations to drive alignment and decision-making across senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

8–10 years of experience in strategy, commercial, business operations, or related roles.
Experience in music or subscription-based digital businesses.
Proven track record of driving initiatives that deliver subscriber and revenue outcomes through structured analysis and execution.
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, including developing business cases and opportunity sizing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, structured narratives for senior audiences.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment and decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Deep experience owning subscriber and revenue initiatives at a tier-one music streaming platform.
Proven track record of scaling commercial propositions in complex or emerging markets.
Demonstrated success identifying and evaluating commercial opportunities across net-new business verticals.
MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Pay & Benefits — Culver City, California, United States

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $177,000 and $266,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
