The Alternative Specialist Team provides expert coverage across private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and hedge fund strategies. The team delivers product expertise, advisor enablement, and implementation guidance to drive the adoption of alternative investments across Citi Wealth.

The EMEA Alternative Specialist Team is seeking an Alternative Investment Senior Sales Analyst to join the team as a strategic contributor, supporting the distribution, adoption, and growth of alternative investment solutions across Citi Private Bank and Wealth at Work in EMEA.

The successful candidate will play a central role within the EMEA Alternative Specialist team, supporting business development initiatives, advisor engagement, investment presentations, and sales execution activities across the alternatives platform. The role will require extensive engagement with Bankers, Investment Counselors, Product Management and other key stakeholders across Citi Wealth. The position combines commercial engagement with investment analysis, business development, and sales process management responsibilities. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to assess, filter, prioritize, and synthesize complex and often dynamic information from multiple sources. This role offers significant opportunities for professional development and expanded responsibilities over time, including participation in client meetings, strategic investment discussions, advisor training initiatives, and broader business development events and activities. The position provides substantial visibility across Citi Wealth in EMEA and extensive engagement with leading alternative investment managers and industry participants.

Key Responsibilities:

Alternative Investment Expertise & Advisor Enablement

  • Demonstrate strong interest across the full spectrum of Alternative Investments, including Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Hedge Funds.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in alternative investments, supporting Bankers, Investment Counselors, and other stakeholders in enhancing product knowledge, suitability understanding, and client engagement.
  • Ability to explain complex investment structures, market dynamics, and historical trends in a clear, intuitive manner tailored to diverse audiences.

Business Development & Pipeline Management

  • Develop, manage, and execute a disciplined sales pipeline management process across Citi Wealth EMEA.
  • Prepare Specialists, Bankers and Investment Councelors for client meetings by supporting high‑impact presentations, portfolio discussions, and product pitches.
  • Partner with Citi Private Bank and Wealth at Work team across EMEA to support the delivery of Alternative Investment revenue and AUM growth objectives.
  • Provide ongoing client servicing support both pre- and post‑investment, ensuring a seamless and high‑quality experience.
  • Produce and analyze sales, pipeline, fundraising, and asset flow metrics to identify business opportunities and support strategic decision making.

Product Marketing & Launch Execution

  • Present investment product features, benefits, and performance considerations in internal meetings, training sessions, and conference calls.
  • Support the launch and ongoing marketing of new Alternative Investment offerings, including planning and organizing internal education as well as client events across EMEA.
  • Collaborate with external asset management firms to coordinate product rollouts, investor communications, and servicing initiatives.
  • Support the preparation of marketing materials, investment presentations, and advisor education content to drive adoption of alternative investment strategies.

Risk, Compliance & Conduct

  • Assess risks thoughtfully when making business decisions, prioritizing Citi’s reputation and client outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, Citi policies, and best practices regarding suitability, disclosures, and product governance.
  • Apply sound ethical judgment and maintain transparency in identifying, managing, and escalating control-related issues.
