Job Description

This is a full-time Senior Manager, Account Executive role within Visa's Commercial and Private Banks Team, dedicated to one of Visa's strategic issuer partnerships in Germany.

Reporting to the Account Director, the Senior Manager is responsible for helping shape and execute Visa's strategy for the Commerzbank relationship. The role combines strategic account management, business development, commercial performance management, and cross-functional leadership to strengthen the partnership and deliver sustainable growth.

The successful candidate will bring together Visa's capabilities across Product, Marketing, Consulting, Risk, Finance, and Client Services to address client priorities, unlock new opportunities, and deliver measurable business outcomes for both Commerzbank and Visa.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Partnership Management:

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across Commerzbank.
  • Act as a strategic advisor, aligning Visa's capabilities with the client's priorities and business objectives.
  • Lead account governance and coordinate resolution of client opportunities, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure consistent execution and a seamless client experience across Visa teams.

Partnership Growth & Business Development:

  • Identify and develop opportunities to expand the partnership and accelerate business growth.
  • Bring relevant Visa products, solutions, and capabilities to the client based on strategic needs and market opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of commercial opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Support development of business cases and growth plans for new investments and opportunities.

Strategic Account Execution:

  • Support development and execution of the account plan and key strategic priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment across internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress against key objectives, milestones, and commitments.
  • Prepare executive presentations, business reviews, and client-facing materials.

Portfolio Performance & Commercial Management:

  • Own performance reporting across key portfolio and commercial KPIs.
  • Analyze business performance and translate insights into actions and recommendations.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and revenue planning activities.
  • Manage client incentive performance and support commercial evaluations and negotiations.

Qualifications

  • Strong issuer-side banking and/or card payments experience, with a solid understanding of portfolio economics and the payments ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to build senior stakeholder relationships and manage complex client partnerships.
  • Experience identifying, developing, and executing growth opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including business cases, incentives, pricing, and revenue management.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience in performance management, KPI tracking, and business planning.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in German and English.
