Original job description

Content provided by the employer

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of data center infrastructure retirement, recovery, and position upgrade programs across our global footprint. AWS operates at unprecedented scale and complexity, and this role is central to how we optimize, modernize, and extend the life of our existing infrastructure to meet ever-growing customer demand.

This role sits at the intersection of tactical project execution and strategic program leadership. You'll work across networking, infrastructure, operations, and regional business development teams to manage complex, multi-variable programs with competing priorities and critical dependencies. You will develop scalable workflows, data-driven process improvements, and automated solutions that drive accountability, eliminate inefficiency, and accelerate delivery. You'll bridge project delivery teams, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders by surfacing critical decisions, removing barriers, and maintaining relentless focus on execution.

This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the reliability, cost efficiency, and risk posture of AWS's global infrastructure. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally strong communicator, experienced in managing highly technical initiatives and remote delivery teams, and thrives in ambiguity by driving clarity through structure and mechanisms.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and success of infrastructure retirement, recovery, and position upgrade programs across multiple sites and time zones
- Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvements and automated solutions that transform how AWS manages its existing data center portfolio
- Manage competing priorities across multiple programs, navigating dependencies, trade-offs, and critical path decisions to deliver site-level execution plans
- Provide executive-level program reporting, delivering root-cause analysis, progress updates, and actionable insights to senior leadership
- Unite cross-functional teams, including project delivery, networking, infrastructure, operations, and regional business development, around a shared execution vision
- Define requirements and processes with stakeholders, facilitate technical sessions, and remove barriers to ensure project success
- Build program mechanisms that monitor health, escalate risks, and drive accountability across infrastructure asset migration and retirement plans

Basic Qualifications

- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
- Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
