Introduction to role
This role drives end-to-end support to medical affairs team & VEEVA-led events, from initiation and implementation through to closure, ensuring all associated costs are accurately assembled and reconciled. It involves regular tracking and monitoring of VEEVA events for strict adherence to process and documentation standards, with timely updates shared across teams. Daily collaboration includes Medical, Marketing, as well as MME/MMSE teams, IT, Event Desk, Compliance, Sales, Business Units, Legal and other internal divisions to keep activities aligned and compliant. The role safeguards zero breaches in documentation and processes, upholds AstraZeneca policies, and proactively raises flags where requirements or risks are identified. Accountabilities
Lead the full lifecycle of VEEVA-led events, ensuring accurate set-up, execution and closure in line with internal procedures and timelines.
Monitor event status and documentation on a regular basis, identifying gaps early and driving corrective actions to maintain compliance.
Coordinate closely with Medical, Marketing, MME/MMSE, Compliance, Legal, Purchase & Event Desk, Sales, IS/IT, HR and Finance to secure approvals, information and support.
Track and reconcile all event-related costs, ensuring transparency, completeness and alignment with budget expectations.
Maintain meticulous records and audit-ready documentation for all assigned events and activities.
Act as a point of contact for process queries related to VEEVA events, helping colleagues navigate systems and requirements.
Call out potential compliance issues or process deviations promptly, supporting root-cause analysis and preventive improvements.
Contribute to continuous improvement of event processes, tools and templates, leveraging IT systems for efficiency and consistency.
Support training or onboarding activities related to VEEVA event processes for relevant stakeholders.
Champion adherence to AstraZeneca policies and standards in every interaction and decision.
