Partnering with planning, design, operations, and finance teams you will drive large-scale initiatives in network capacity management, logistics optimization, and operational efficiency. You will identify gaps between planned and actual performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement scalable solutions that close execution defects. This role requires making sound business judgments with incomplete data—balancing short-term operational needs against long-term network strategy in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
This role operates both tactically and strategically. You will influence senior leaders (Directors and VPs) through data-driven recommendations while maintaining hands-on ownership of execution outcomes. The ideal candidate excels at navigating ambiguity, simplifying complex systems, and delivering results at scale.
Key job responsibilities
• Own end-to-end S&OP execution performance, making sound business judgments to drive both tactical and strategic improvements to network plan adherence and operational efficiency
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize key network capacity metrics to ensure the smooth flow of goods through the fulfillment network—identifying and closing gaps between plan and actuals
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Planning, Transportation, Finance, and Product teams to influence and facilitate alignment on shared network capacity goals
• Conduct root cause analysis leveraging SQL/Python to identify execution defects, then scale findings into systemic process improvements that eliminate recurrence
• Create, develop, and drive scalable automation and process solutions that enhance operational efficiency and deliver a richer end-to-end customer experience
• Lead and deliver results on cross-functional capacity initiatives, providing program updates on a weekly and monthly cadence to stakeholders at all levels including Directors and VPs
A day in the life
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You are the connective tissue between what the network is planned to do and what it actually delivers—translating S&OP plans into operational reality. Cross-functional collaboration defines your day: you'll build relationships across operations, planning, transportation, and finance teams to align priorities, remove execution barriers, and drive accountability. You will lead weekly and monthly program reviews, contribute to Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and communicate concise, data-driven narratives that enable leadership to act decisively. Every day, you're driving continuous improvement—ensuring Amazon's fulfillment network operates efficiently, on plan, and in service of our customers.
