Job Description & Summary

As a Finance Operations Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience in core financial processes and contribute to the smooth execution of finance operations within a professional services environment. This role offers practical exposure to project financials, billing, reporting, and process improvement initiatives while developing your technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. You will collaborate closely with the Finance team and engage with cross‑functional stakeholders.

What you'll experience:

Join our Finance Operations team and gain hands-on experience within a professional services environment. This role offers practical exposure to invoice-to-cash (I2C) processes—covering billing, work-in-progress (WIP), time and financial data operations, while developing your technical, analytical, and problemsolving skills. You will be part of the team that supports the firm’s revenue and cash cycle—helping ensure that financial data is accurate, complete, and ready for billing.

This internship goes beyond routine support work. You will:

  • Work with real financial data

  • Explore how processes can be improved, simplified or automated

  • Support initiatives that enhance data quality, reporting, and efficiency

  • Review and validate data for accuracy and consistency

  • Identify missing or incomplete information for follow-up

  • Support preparation of basic reports and data summaries

Support Operational Activities

  • Assist with time-related processes (e.g. monitoring submissions, basic updates)

  • Follow up on outstanding items to support timely completion

  • Coordinate with team members to resolve operational queries

Learn How Operations Work End-to-End

  • Observe how different steps in the process are connected

  • Gain visibility into how finance operations support business delivery

  • Build understanding of controls, timelines and dependencies across processes

What You’ll Gain

  • Real exposure to how finance operations support revenue and cash collection

  • Hands-on experience working with structured financial data

  • Understanding of how accuracy, discipline and coordination drive operational success

  • Practical experience working in a professional services environment

  • A foundation for roles in finance operations or business processes

What We’re Looking For

  • Is comfortable working with structured data and detailed information

  • Pays strong attention to detail

  • Is reliable and able to follow through on tasks

  • Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team

  • Is curious about how systems and processes work behind the scenes

  • Is patient and disciplined when working with data and operational tasks

  • Has working knowledge of Excel and Word
