Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Join us at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Field Service Engineer, where you'll contribute by ensuring our sophisticated chromatography and analytical instruments performance. In this role, you'll represent our company, delivering exceptional technical service while building strong relationships with customers who are advancing critical research and innovation. You'll install, maintain, and repair chromatography systems including HPLC, IRMS and LC-MS instruments, you'll combine technical expertise with customer service skills to solve complex problems and help our customers achieve breakthrough discoveries that make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering with prior Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing sophisticated analytical instruments preferred
  • Experience with chromatography systems (HPLC, GC, LC-MS, UHPLC) strongly preferred
  • Strong electronics and mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose issues down to component level
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and analytical thinking
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, MS Office.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50-75%
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency service calls
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work independently
