The Marketing Automation Specialist within the RSD EU Digital Marketing team is responsible for executing and optimizing automated, personalized customer journeys(email, web) that drive engagement, conversion, and retention.
This role focuses on building and managing data-driven customer journeys that deliver the right message to the right customer at the right moment. By leveraging behavioral, transactional, and CRM data, the specialist supports lifecycle programs across customer onboarding, growth, re-engagement and retention, ensuring relevant communication that contributes to both revenue growth and sales effectiveness.
Journeys are served through a modern Mar-Tech including Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), and Oracle Eloqua. This role translates data and campaign requirements into scalable, automated journeys. The specialist plays a key role in ensuring campaigns are executed with high relevancy, hyper personalized, and continuously optimized based on performance insights.
Close collaboration with regional marketing teams, sales, content, and MarTech stakeholders is essential to ensure campaigns align with business priorities and deliver consistent, high-quality customer experiences.
Key responsibilities:
- Build, launch, and manage email campaigns and automated customer journeys across the lifecycle, including onboarding, cross-/upsell, reactivation, and retention.
- Execute in partnership with our Studio team email campaigns and support journey orchestration in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).
- Apply audience segmentation and behavioral data to enable targeted and personalized communication based on segmentation strategy.
- Implement dynamic content, product recommendations, and educational & promotional messaging aligned with customer lifecycle stage.
- Monitor campaign performance and track key KPIs (e.g., open rate, CTR, conversions, attributed revenue), identifying opportunities for optimization to drive bigger business impact.
- Support A/B testing and experimentation to improve campaign effectiveness and engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and Studio teams to ensure campaigns support customer engagement and commercial objectives.
- Ensure campaign quality, accuracy, and timely delivery across all programs.
- Actively drive marketing opt-in growth increasing our customer base reach.
- Maintain data quality and support proper audience selection and segmentation within marketing systems.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and internal data governance standards, including consent and data usage policies.
- Support continuous improvement of campaign processes, workflows, and automation structures.
Skills:
- Very strong understanding of email marketing, customer lifecycle marketing, and personalization principles.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) is preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with modern marketing technology stacks, including Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).
- Understanding of and experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and audience segmentation.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign data and translate it into actionable improvements.
- Basic knowledge of HTML for email editing is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on execution quality.
- Good project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of how marketing contributes to revenue and customer retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in email marketing, marketing automation, or lifecycle marketing across multiple customer segments at region or global level in a corporate organization.
- Proven experience executing automated, data-driven email campaigns and customer life cycle journeys.
- Proven track record delivering profitable revenue growth through email marketing automation
- Experience working in a matrixed, international organization is a plus.
- Fluency in English.
