As a Senior Customer Content Producer, you will sit at the heart of Customer Marketing and Advocacy, turning rich customer stories into purposeful, high‑value content that influences how Microsoft shows up with customers and partners. You will focus on priority campaigns and events, collaborating closely with teams across creative, social, events, public relations, integrated marketing, product marketing, and sales to ensure customer narratives are consistent, compelling, and aligned to business priorities. 

In this role, you will own the end‑to‑end process of producing, and packaging customer content including video, interactive and multimedia packages so that it can be quickly repurposed and distributed across digital channels, events, campaigns, and key moments. Your work will help scale customer storytelling across Microsoft’s global customer base, with success measured by the volume, reach, and usage of the assets you create across the ecosystem of channels.

Responsibilities
 
  • Content Strategy and Planning. Bring to life the campaign strategy and business priorities by delivering high impact human-led storytelling. Develop and execute integrated content plans that extend customer stories into priority campaigns, events, and strategic initiatives. Partner with cross-functional teams to align content priorities with business objectives, audience needs, and commercial marketing moments. 

  • Customer Story Development. Enable production to capture interviews that can transform into narrative arcs, plan capture of B-roll in innovative ways, deliver an organized set of media that is post-production ready, and manage an internal review cycle that ensures necessary feedback is synthesized, translated into actionable creative direction, and integrated rapidly prior to delivery.  

  • Content Production and Asset Creation. Deep industry knowledge of video production and film best practices, experience leveraging AI assisted workflows for pre-production and story alignment. This includes creating clear production schedules, managing necessary agreements and releases, and coordinating logistics with internal and external teams. 

  • Content Packaging and Asset Management. Own and manage customer marketing media, tag, label and archive projects and raw materials to ensure customer content is discoverable, reusable, and optimized for different audiences and moments. Partner with capabilities team and leverage intelligent tagging solution to further automate content discovery. 

  • Cross-Functional Content Orchestration. Collaborate with product marketing, sales, events, public relations, social, creative, integrated marketing, and agency partners to align content plans, manage timelines, and ensure consistent storytelling across the customer journey. Coordinate multiple stakeholders while maintaining quality and delivery commitments. 

  • Editorial Excellence and Quality Management. Maintain a high bar for creative judgement in customer storytelling that supports business outcomes and adheres to audience insights, tone of voice, and campaign strategy. Ensure content meets Microsoft brand, editorial, technical, accessibility and other storytelling standards. 

  • Measurement and Optimization. Analyze key performance indicators for customer content, including content utilization, engagement, reach, and reuse across channels. Surface insights and recommendations that improve future storytelling, content planning, and audience impact. Identify trends in the industry and branded content space to benchmark content and incorporate a feedback loop to ensure creative decisions are supported by data.

  • A steady stream of customer content is produced, packaged, and delivered in formats that help marketing, sales, communications, and executive teams tell more impactful stories. 

  • Customer content is easy to discover, reuse, and adapt across marketing channels, maximizing the value and reach of every story. 

  • Priority campaigns and events consistently feature customer proof that strengthens Microsoft's credibility and reinforces strategic business priorities. 

  • Stakeholders view the team as a trusted partner that delivers polished, audience-ready content with quality, consistency, and speed. 

  • Content performance insights are used to improve future production decisions, resulting in higher engagement, utilization, and audience impact over time. 

  • Customer storytelling becomes more scalable, consistent, and strategically aligned across Microsoft's commercial marketing ecosystem. 

 



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in fast paced documentary style production, episodic content, and ability to navigate quick turn production environments. 

  • Demonstrates an industry high bar for creative judgement that supports business outcomes. 

  • Experience overseeing all phases of production, including creative development, budget forecasting, resource management, agency briefing, pre-production planning, content capture, post-production, delivery readiness, risk and issue management. 

  • Experience managing field production crews, post production workflows, including assembly edit, color correcting, and other broadcast and publishing requirements.  

  • Experience working with strategic customers, coordinating with senior leaders, maintaining customer relationships, and managing approvals. 

  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to scale processes and impact of customer stories. 

  • Experience operating in a large, global, matrixed organization in enterprise technology, cloud, or SaaS, including time in customer marketing, customer advocacy, customer reference, or customer-evidence roles. 



Integrated Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
