Responsibilities
- Independently implement reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions across teams; contribute to design documents, implementation plans, and maintain compliance standards.
- Monitor and maintain security for Building Automation Systems by addressing vulnerabilities, troubleshooting incidents, implementing fixes, and driving adoption of automation to mitigate risks.
- Adhere to and promote prescriptive guidance for security, privacy, and compliance standards; work cross-functionally to resolve relevant issues and share expertise with peers.
- Respond to incidents, including complex, high-impact events; drive root cause analysis, incident resolution, and continuous improvement; provide incident response support and guidance.
- Take ownership of service design and technical configurations for optimal cost, reliability, and scalability, collaborating to identify efficiencies and share learnings across engineering teams.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, systems engineering, or industrial controls
OR Equivalent experience.
While not required, we also look for the following Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology related field AND 6+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, systems engineering, or industrial controls
OR Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology related field AND 8+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, systems engineering, or industrial controls
OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years technical experience working with large-scale cloud or distributed systems.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Service Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
