We work every single day to design and manufacture silicon products that empower people's digital lives. Come join us and do something wonderful.

Join us as a Circuits Research Engineer/Scientist and be at the forefront of innovation in analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuit technologies. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving the research and development of next-generation Power Delivery IPs that deliver industry-leading performance (efficiency, power density, bandwidth) in advanced process technology nodes. You will contribute to the creation of cutting-edge intellectual property (IP) and features that will shape the future of Intel's future AI and Datacenter Products, enabling higher Perf/Watt and overall value. Your work will directly influence Intel's product roadmap, collaborate across industry and academia, and position Intel as a leader in the semiconductor industry's future innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and execute scientific research projects focused on advancing analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuit techniques to develop innovative power delivery IPs
  • Design and enable new IPs and features to enhance Intel's product offerings.
  • Conduct circuit analysis and simulation and engage in design verification, testing, and debugging of fabricated circuits.
  • Research and propose innovative techniques to achieve superior form-factor, higher input voltage, higher efficiency, and ability to handle fast load transients.
  • Partner with engineering design teams to define product requirements and assess the feasibility of adopting new technologies.
  • Study industry trends, conduct competitive analyses of topologies, and develop proof-of-concepts or prototypes such as test chips.
  • Collaborate with academic institutions, industry partners, and internal technical teams to address complex challenges and find innovative solutions.
  • Disseminate research findings through scientific publications, patents, presentations, and outreach efforts to enhance Intel's reputation as a thought leader in circuit design and advanced technologies.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your degree, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Proficiency in power delivery (Switched Capacitors, Inductor Buck, Linear, and Hybrid topologies) circuits with ability to perform detailed design, analysis, and simulation tools.
  • Strong expertise in analog electronics, semiconductor device physics, and electrical fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with circuit testing, signal and power integrity, and analog behavior modeling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and develop innovative power delivery circuit techniques.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work across cross-functional teams and external partnerships.
  • Contributions to scientific publications, patents, or industry collaborations showcasing research leadership and innovation.
