Original job description

Content provided by the employer

The Program Manager, Digital Products role will support a high impact team with broad ownership within Amazon’s World Wide Grocery Stores (WWGS) organization. The Digital Products team leads the customer-facing technology for Whole Foods Market, including the app and web experiences customers use to browse, plan, and shop, and connects that experience to the broader Amazon ecosystem.

This role owns the operational backbone of the team. The Program Manager supports how work comes in, how it gets prioritized, and how a defined slice of it gets built, running the team’s intake and backlog, standing up the mechanisms that keep partners aligned, and delivering a focused set of projects end to end. The person in this role partners closely with UX, Analytics, Marketing, E-Commerce, and Engineering teams to keep cross-functional work moving.

Key job responsibilities
- Owns and manages the product backlog, running intake, triage, and grooming so the backlog stays prioritized, current, and clear to partners and engineering. Maintains the single source of truth for what the team is working on and why, and keeps status visible.

- Stands up and runs formal team mechanisms, including a recurring intake and office-hours rhythm where partners bring requests, the team scopes them, and the analyst captures, routes, and tracks them. Gives the organization a clear, low-friction front door into Digital Products.

- Delivers a focused set of smaller projects end to end, starting with quick wins that build momentum. Writes requirements, coordinates with Engineering and UX, tracks progress, and sees each project through to launch.

- Supports the operationalization of strategy sessions with cross-functional teams, creating and maintaining a framework that defines how experimentation ideas are captured, scoped, prioritized, and sequenced into a structured experimentation roadmap.

- Consolidates status, metrics, and updates into reporting that keeps leadership and partners informed on backlog health and project delivery.

- Helps manage ad hoc issues related to project and program execution that may require troubleshooting, resolution, and potentially escalation.

- Partners closely with UX, Analytics, Marketing, E-Commerce, and Engineering teams to keep cross-functional work moving and stakeholders aligned.

- Responds promptly and accurately to internal stakeholders and partners, and earns trust across the organization.
