Role Summary

This role sits at the center of Amazon’s finance transformation agenda and requires driving convergence between traditionally siloed AP and AR ecosystems into a unified, scalable financial transaction backbone. The leader will partner across FinTech, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, FinOps, and Engineering organizations to modernize financial workflows, improve controllership, enable real-time financial visibility, and reduce operational friction globally.
The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership, deep financial systems expertise, technical depth, and the ability to influence VP level stakeholders across large-scale enterprise transformations.
Key job responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy
• Define and drive the long-term vision for Amazon’s O2C platform strategy across Billing, AR, Cash Application, Disputes, Settlement Authority, and Receivables orchestration
• Lead the convergence strategy between AP and AR platforms to create a unified financial transaction lifecycle and shared financial services capabilities
• Build multi-year product roadmaps aligned to Amazon’s Finance modernization priorities, controllership objectives, and global compliance requirements
• Drive adoption of real-time financial processing, event-driven architectures, and intelligent workflow automation across the receivables ecosystem
Platform & Technical Leadership
• Partner deeply with Engineering and Finance Architecture teams to design scalable, resilient, and globally compliant financial systems
• Drive platform standardization across invoicing, payment application, reconciliation, settlement controls, and lifecycle visibility
• Define canonical financial transaction models, event strategies, and interoperability patterns across upstream and downstream systems
• Lead modernization away from legacy finance stacks toward scalable service-oriented platforms
Business & Operational Ownership
• Own business outcomes tied to AR health, billing accuracy, dispute resolution efficiency, cash application accuracy, settlement controls, and operational scalability
• Improve customer and vendor financial experiences through lifecycle transparency, automation, and faster resolution workflows
• Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on reducing manual interventions, improving close timelines, and increasing automation rates
• Partner with Treasury, Tax, Accounting, and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory and audit readiness across global markets
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Influence and align senior leaders across FinTech, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, FinOps, and Operations organizations
• Lead complex, cross-organizational programs spanning multiple VP organizations and global stakeholder groups
• Drive executive reviews, business cases, investment decisions, and strategic planning documents for senior leadership forums
• Mentor PMTs and help establish product management best practices across the organization

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
