AI Tutor - Uzbek

About the role

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. SpaceXSI is building Super Intelligence to help humanity understand the universe. In this role, you will help train and refine Grok's voice and language capabilities in Uzbek. Your expertise will directly shape how Grok speaks and understands Uzbek, from pronunciation and natural phrasing to cultural nuance.

What you'll do

• Annotate, label, and provide feedback on multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, and speech samples using proprietary tools.
• Translate and localize text (UI copy, prompts, responses, and other content) from English into Uzbek, with attention to accuracy, natural phrasing, and cultural fit.
• Help produce clear, natural audio data that accurately captures linguistic and prosodic details such as intonation, rhythm, and accent.
• Collaborate with technical staff to refine annotation guidelines and tools for handling accents, background noise, speech variation, and multilingual audio.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Uzbek at CEFR C1 level or higher.
• English proficiency at CEFR B2 level or higher.
• This is a remote role which may be performed from the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia.
• For US-based candidates, unable to hire in Wyoming and Illinois at this time.
• Unable to provide visa sponsorship.
• Positions are typically offered as fixed-term employment contracts of 6 months.

Preferred qualifications

• Native proficiency in Uzbek.
• English proficiency at CEFR C1 level or higher.
• Experience in advanced transcription or audio annotation, with strong attention to accents, prosody, disfluencies, and variable recording quality.
• Experience in translation or localization work (especially UI, product copy, or conversational text) between English and Uzbek.
• Experience in voice recording, voice acting, podcasting, or related audio production that demonstrates clear delivery and attention to sound quality.
• Background in linguistics, phonetics, speech sciences, or hands-on work with speech/audio datasets and AI training data.
