About the role

At Johnson & Johnson, we believe health is everything. Our strength in healthcare innovation empowers us to build a world where complex diseases are prevented, treated, and cured, where treatments are smarter and less invasive, and solutions are personal. Through our expertise in Innovative Medicine and MedTech, we are uniquely positioned to innovate across the full spectrum of healthcare solutions today to deliver the breakthroughs of tomorrow, and profoundly impact health for humanity.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end third-party risk assessments (initial and periodic) for intermediaries and other third parties in scope, applying a risk-based approach.
• Oversee due diligence execution (screening, questionnaire review, ownership/beneficial owner validation, reputation checks, adverse media, sanctions/PEP reviews, and red-flag analysis).
• Assess and document risk rationale, including risk ratings, control considerations, and recommended remediation/mitigations (e.g., contract clauses, training, monitoring, audit rights); prepare draft report to Local Working Group in partnership with HCC and status reports to regional and local TPRM matters.
• Determine when enhanced due diligence is required; perform or coordinate deeper reviews (site visits/interviews where applicable, expanded research, and escalation packages).
• Provide decision support to approving bodies and country/Regional compliance leadership; ensure timely, well-substantiated escalations for high-risk or sensitive cases.
• Partner with Legal, Procurement, Finance, and Business stakeholders to ensure third-party onboarding/renewal requirements are met before engagement and payment.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies, requirements, and Regional/local regulatory expectations; maintain audit-ready documentation standards.
• Monitor portfolio risk and trends (e.g., recurring red flags, high-risk geographies, third-party concentration); recommend risk treatment actions and process controls.
• Conduct quality reviews of TPRM deliverables; coach relevant stakeholders on investigation techniques, risk interpretation, and clear documentation.
• Manage service levels and operational performance (case throughput, cycle time, backlog, and exception handling); drive remediation of root causes impacting timeliness/quality.
• Support internal audits, monitoring, investigations, and regulatory inquiries related to third parties, including evidence collection and issue remediation tracking.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of TPRM methodology, templates, and tooling (e.g., screening platforms, case management workflows, dashboards/metrics).
• Maintain current knowledge of third-party risk standards and emerging risks (e.g., corruption risk, data privacy/cyber risk where in scope, and evolving sanctions landscapes).
• Contribute to the refinement of policies, templates, and workflows to enhance efficiency and standardization; support rollout of process updates, system enhancements, or automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with country compliance officers, Legal, Procurement, and Finance on complex or escalated cases; partner with global TPRM to ensure consistency with global policy.
• Serve as a reference point for policies, procedures, and healthcare compliance principles related to third-party risk; support training and onboarding of new Specialists in the team.
