Team Summary:


Visa Direct is one of Visa's fastest-growing businesses, enabling real-time and near real-time money movement for consumers, businesses, governments, financial institutions, fintechs, remittance companies, and enablers. Visa Direct supports a broad range of use cases including cross-border remittances, wallet funding, account-to-account transfers, merchant settlements, corporate payouts, and disbursements.

 

As part of the Visa Direct team, this role will lead business development and sales activities in the Philippines, working closely with regional sales, product, country management, consulting, marketing, and implementation teams to drive growth across Visa's Money Movement Solutions portfolio.

 

What a Director, Visa Direct Sales Executive Does at Visa:

The successful candidate will drive Visa Direct growth in the Philippines by shaping market strategy, originating and closing new business, and expanding strategic client relationships.


Key responsibilities include:

Sales & Business Growth

  • Own the Visa Direct revenue, pipeline, and business development agenda for the Philippines market.
  • Identify, originate, qualify, and close opportunities across banks, digital banks, fintechs, wallets, remittance providers, corporates, and government entities.
  • Drive adoption of Visa Direct capabilities across:
    • Cross-border remittances
    • Wallet funding
    • Account funding transactions (AFT)
    • Original credit transactions (OCT)
    • Payouts and disbursements
    • B2B and commercial money movement solutions
  • Develop and execute market-specific growth strategies aligned with Visa's Money Movement priorities.

 

Client Leadership:

  • Serve as the primary Visa Direct commercial lead for strategic Philippines clients.
  • Build executive-level relationships across strategy, product, digital, payments, treasury, and senior management functions.
  • Influence clients' payment and money movement strategies through thought leadership and industry expertise.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions.

 

Market Development:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Philippines payments ecosystem, competitive landscape, regulatory developments, fintech trends, and emerging opportunities.
  • Identify new payment flows and use cases that can be enabled through Visa Direct.
  • Partner with market stakeholders to unlock new growth opportunities and strategic partnerships.

 

Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Partner with Product, Country Management, Client Services, Marketing, Risk, Legal, Finance, and Implementation teams to advance client opportunities.
  • Lead internal governance and deal review processes.
  • Advance strategic client programs from opportunity development through launch and commercialization.

 

Pipeline & Forecast Management:

  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and accurate forecasting discipline.
  • Utilize CRM tools to drive opportunity management, reporting, and sales execution.
  • Deliver against annual revenue, volume, and strategic growth objectives.

 

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in payments, transaction banking, fintech, remittances, financial services, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of business development, sales leadership, and revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of money movement, cross-border payments, real-time payments, treasury services, cash management, or remittance solutions.
  • Experience working with banks, digital banks, fintechs, wallets, payment service providers, or financial institutions.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex client engagements and strategic partnerships.

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong commercial acumen and deal-making capabilities.
  • Excellent executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market opportunities into executable growth plans.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to navigate a complex matrix environment and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience managing pipelines, forecasts, and commercial performance metrics.
