The Role
Are you prepared to deliver an outstanding impact? As a Principal Data Modeler supporting Workplace Investments, you will apply hands-on data modeling skills across important business and technology initiatives. Join us in building scalable, flexible, and thoroughly documented data models that correspond with our WI Data Strategy and Enterprise Data Taxonomy. Your efforts will guide technical decisions, define modeling standards, and support modernization projects!
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 8-10+ years of experience in conceptual, logical, physical, relational, dimensional, and 3NF data modeling for enterprise OLTP and analytical platforms
- Good experience with conceptual, logical, physical, 3NF, relational, and dimensional modeling.
- Experience designing models for enterprise OLTP and analytical platforms.
- Experience with legacy data modernization and cloud migration.
- Knowledge of data architecture, governance, metadata, and data quality practices.
- Ability to influence collaborators and translate business requirements into effective data models.
- Strong SQL skills, preferably ANSI SQL.
- Experience with modeling tools such as Erwin, PowerDesigner, Oracle Designer, or similar.
- Snowflake experience is a plus.
- Good communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple agile engineering teams.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles.
