Summary: As an AWS Data Engineer specializing in Amazon Redshift, you will design, develop, and optimize large-scale data warehousing solutions to support growing analytics ecosystem. The role requires working within dynamic project environments, applying modern data engineering frameworks, and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable, performant, and efficient data pipelines. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical implementations will be the key aspect of the daily routine. Continuous performance tuning and architectural refinement to meet evolving business needs are also integral to this position.

Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
Lead efforts to identify and implement best practices within the team to improve software quality and delivery timelines.
Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance overall team capability.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.

Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills: Advanced proficiency in Amazon Redshift and data warehousing architecture.
Hands-on Expertise in Advanced Redshift Features: Proven experience implementing and managing Redshift Spectrum for querying data in Amazon S3, designing and maintaining materialized views for performance acceleration, and developing complex stored procedures and user-defined functions (UDFs).
Data Integration & Collaboration: Experience with Amazon Redshift Data Sharing for secure data dissemination across accounts/clusters and setting up Federated Queries to query and join data across transactional databases (like PostgreSQL/MySQL) in real-time.
Query & Performance Optimization: Strong knowledge of performance tuning techniques, including distribution styles (KEY, ALL, EVEN), sort keys (compound/interleaved), workload management (WWM/QMR), and query execution plan analysis.
Integration & Automation: Ability to integrate Amazon Redshift with various data ingestion and analytics tools, alongside familiarity with scripting and automation to streamline data workflows and maintenance tasks.
Ability to automate Redshift administration and data workflows using Python, SQL, AWS CLI or similar scripting/automation tools.
Experience with CI/CD practices for database objects, SQL code, stored procedures, and Redshift deployments using Liquibase is preferred.
Experience implementing row-level security, column-level security/masking, auditing, and secure data sharing where applicable.
