Overview

Do you love working on paid advertising?  Thrive on seeing your work out in the world?  Believe that finding creative solutions to complex problems is a superpower of yours? We are looking for a creative, collaborative, and highly accountable team player with expertise in paid advertising campaign management to join our WDS Creative & Integrated Marketing team. We believe great campaigns are built through partnership, clear ownership, candid feedback, inclusive decision-making, and disciplined execution.

The Senior Advertising Campaign Manager will lead the operating rhythm and end-to-end delivery of complex, high-visibility consumer campaigns. This person will serve as the campaign’s connective tissue and “air traffic controller,” bringing together the people, decisions, inputs, assets, and timelines required to get excellent advertising into market on time and at quality. You will own campaign operations across key paid workstreams, including video, digital display, social, creator, custom media, audio, retail, localization, and asset handoff. This role would work closely with campaign managers, creative leads, product marketing, integrated marketing, media, research and insights, legal, engineering, regional teams, creative and production partners, and external agencies. The ideal candidate combines marketing judgment with exceptional program leadership, understands how paid creative gets made and trafficked, and is comfortable driving the details without losing sight of the customer ambition or the campaign goals.

About the Team

WDS Creative & Integrated Marketing team sets a high bar for the work while supporting one another, staying curious, and bringing positive energy to complex, fast-moving challenges. We value people who simplify ambiguity, anticipate what is needed, respectfully push for clarity, and create the conditions for teams and agencies to do their best work.  The team translates product and business priorities into integrated consumer experiences and high-impact marketing that builds the Microsoft brand, creates demand, and helps customers understand why Microsoft products matter. Global Advertising leads the development and delivery of consumer paid advertising campaigns.

Responsibilities

· Lead end-to-end campaign operations from kickoff through launch and wrap-up, translating campaign strategy, media plans, and creative requirements into an integrated plan of record with clear owners, milestones, dependencies, and decision points.

· Own cross-workstream orchestration across video, display, social, creator, custom media, audio, retail, localization, and market activation, ensuring work moves cohesively across creative development, production, post-production, approvals, versioning, trafficking, and launch.

· Build and manage detailed workback schedules, campaign trackers, hot sheets, status dashboards, launch calendars, and risk logs. Maintain a reliable single source of truth and provide concise, audience-appropriate updates to working teams and leaders.

· Establish and run effective campaign rhythms, including agency status, production, mission control, trafficking, creative review, and cross-functional V-team meetings. Create agendas, drive decisions, document actions, and follow through to closure.

· Identify risks early, clarify dependencies, escalate tradeoffs with sound recommendations, and remove blockers so the campaign can meet quality, timing, budget, legal, and media requirements.

· Serve as a primary day-to-day partner for creative, production, adaptation, localization, and media agencies. Define ways of working, roles, service-level expectations, review paths, and handoff requirements.

· Coordinate creative asset readiness against the media plan, including specifications, versioning, retailer and partner requirements, URLs, tracking, end cards, offer language, disclosures, source files, and delivery packages.

· Partner with CELA and business stakeholders to plan and route creative reviews, track feedback and substantiation needs, and ensure approved changes are reflected consistently across assets and markets.

· Drive rigorous QA/QC across campaign materials and handoffs, partnering with experts to confirm product accuracy, brand consistency, accessibility, format specifications, naming conventions, and completeness before release.

· Lead global and regional activation readiness, including localization, market reviews, asset sharing, usage-rights considerations, toolkit creation, and coordination of new edits or adaptations.

· Manage campaign documentation and asset organization across approved Microsoft systems, including onboarding materials, campaign walking decks, creative wrap decks, toolkits, archives, and agency access.

· Partner with media, research, analytics, and campaign leads to connect creative delivery with measurement, in-market optimization, and post-campaign learning. Capture process and partnership learnings and turn them into practical improvements.

· Model Microsoft leadership principles by creating clarity, generating energy, and delivering success across teams without relying on direct authority
