Principal Product Manager Technical, Conversational Shopping AI

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager - Technical to own the post-purchase experience for Alexa for Shopping (formerly Rufus), the conversational shopping AI used by hundreds of millions of customers every month. You will set the multi-year vision for how agentic AI redefines everything that happens after a customer buys: tracking a delivery, getting started with a new product, troubleshooting it when something stops working, finding the accessory that fits it, and reordering the refill before it runs out. Each of those is a page a customer has to go find today, and you will define what each becomes when an assistant handles it for them.

Key job responsibilities
You will own post-purchase strategy and roadmap, driving clarity where the problem and opportunity are not yet defined. You will envision what a great post-purchase experience is and how to measure it, then create the roadmap to deliver on that vision. You will shape how post-purchase works in an agentic setting, defining which delivery, support, return, and replenishment actions the assistant takes on a customer's behalf, how it earns the trust to take them, and identifying the AI capabilities that will become table stakes before they are obvious. You will own the surfaces where product ownership happens today, from Your Orders to the returns flow, and turn each completed purchase into the beginning of the next mission. You will partner closely with multiple engineering and science teams, as well as the Delivery Experience, Customer Service, and Selling Partner organizations whose data and workflows the experience depends on, and will drive the cross-organizational decisions to define and influence the future of shopping AI.

Our mission is to fundamentally change how customers shop on Amazon by leveraging the state of the art in AI. Every month, hundreds of millions of customers use Alexa for Shopping to help with shopping decisions. We are building a conversational shopping experience that understands what customers need, provides trustworthy and helpful responses, and makes the entire shopping journey effortless. We will build the best shopping AI in the world — and then do it again in the next sprint.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience technical product management

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Experience building consumer products with Gen AI / LLMs / Agents as the core enabler.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
