Devops Engineer

About the Role
We're looking for a DevOps Specialist to own the technical side of client deployments. You'll work closely with our Professional Services and Engineering teams to install, configure, and validate our solution across diverse client infrastructure. Our home is AWS, but our clients may be on Azure, GCP, or elsewhere — you need to be comfortable navigating all of them

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure our solution into client-managed cloud environments — AWS, Azure, GCP, or other platforms depending on the client
• Work daily in our AWS-based development environment: building, testing, and packaging releases
• Adapt deployment configurations to fit each client's networking topology, IAM model, and security requirements
• Package and manage our application using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS / GKE / AKS), including Helm charts
• Troubleshoot Linux system and network issues during live deployments alongside client IT teams
• Build and maintain deployment automation so repeat engagements run faster
• Identify cloud cost risks early and recommend rightsized configurations for each client's scale
• Document every deployment: architecture decisions, configuration choices, known limitations
• Feed field learnings back into internal playbooks and deployment tooling
  

• Experience:
• Solid AWS expertise: VPCs, IAM, EKS, EC2, S3, and networking — this is our home platform
• Strong Linux administration skills — comfortable diagnosing system-level issues under pressure
• Good networking fundamentals: DNS, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, VPNs, and subnetting
• Hands-on experience deploying containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Broad cloud awareness — able to navigate an unfamiliar cloud environment and find your footing quickly
• Able to adapt when a client's environment doesn't match the playbook
• English at B2 level or above — able to lead client calls, write clear technical documentation, and engage confidently in async discussions
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for reliable, repeatable deployments
• Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or similar for deployment automation
• Understanding of cloud cost drivers — able to size deployments sensibly for each client's scale

NICE TO HAVE

• Hands-on experience with Azure or GCP beyond familiarity — AKS, Azure Networking, GKE, Cloud Run
• Experience in a Professional Services, Solutions Engineering, or customer-facing delivery role
• Familiarity with air-gapped or highly restricted enterprise environments
• AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications
• Prior experience building internal deployment tooling or runbooks that others rely
