Technology Lead (Core Banking)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technology Lead with strong Core Banking expertise to manage the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, complex technology projects within the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will combine strong program/project management expertise with hands-on technical knowledge — particularly in core banking platforms — and the ability to lead onshore and offshore teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for end-to-end delivery performance — quality, client satisfaction, and financial targets — across accounts and projects.
• Act as primary Point-of-Contact for clients on delivery matters; build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Lead onshore and offshore/nearshore teams; provide supervision, guidance, and people development.
• Proactively identify, prioritize, and mitigate delivery risks across the portfolio.
• Responsible for end-to-end software development and support for core banking systems — from analysis and design through development, testing, and production managed services.
• Lead the design, build, and configuration of core banking applications; act as primary subject matter expert.
• Ensure quality assurance in conformance to Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools.
• Partner with Group domain teams to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery efficiency, quality, and team capability.
• Support pre-sales activities through innovative solutions and delivery excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience, with 6–9+ years in technical delivery or program/project management in banking/financial services.
• Proven experience managing large-scale, complex programs with nearshore/offshore teams.
• Deep knowledge of core banking solutions, especially those implemented across South East Asia.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of banking applications, architecture, and technology ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with one or more core banking solutions in the SEA region.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure, Cloud, and DevOps practices.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve delivery efficiency and quality.
