Job Description

Objectives / Purpose:

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and design activities across assigned projects and portfolios.
• Ensure engineering scope, cost, schedule, resources, quality, and deliverables are effectively planned, managed, and delivered.
• Drive integration across engineering disciplines to ensure consistent, efficient, and high-quality design solutions.
• Support engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with business, project, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Accountabilities:

Design Delivery Management:

• Accountable for planning, coordinating, and managing multidisciplinary engineering and design activities across assigned projects and portfolios.
• Manage engineering scope, deliverables, priorities, and resource requirements.
• Ensure engineering activities are delivered in alignment with project objectives, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Coordinate engineering interfaces across all GCC disciplines.

Cost, Schedule & Resource Management

• Develop and maintain engineering schedules, resource plans, and delivery forecasts.
• Monitor engineering budgets, resource utilization, and delivery performance.
• Identify and manage delivery risks, resource constraints, and priority conflicts.
• Support project reporting, forecasting, and performance reviews.

Quality & Governance

• Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, GMP, compliance, and business requirements.
• Coordinate design reviews, quality checks, and multidisciplinary reviews.
• Manage engineering change processes and design risk assessments.
• Drive delivery consistency, lessons learned, and continuous improvement activities.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary GCC interface for assigned projects and portfolios.
• Collaborate with Project Teams, Engineering Functions, Manufacturing Sites, and Business Stakeholders.
• Communicate project status, risks, priorities, resource requirements, and delivery commitments.
• Facilitate decision-making and resolution of cross-functional issues.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Promote digital engineering, standardization, and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity, quality, predictability, and efficiency.
• Support implementation of innovative engineering delivery approaches and tools.

Education, Behavioural Competencies and Skills: 

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Master's Degree preferred.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in engineering, design management, project delivery, or capital project environments.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering activities in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated industries.
• Experience managing engineering scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and quality.
• Experience across Concept, FEED, Detailed Design, and Project Delivery phases.
