Job Description

Objective:

• Lead the Design Delivery function within the GCC and ensure effective planning, coordination, execution, and governance of multidisciplinary design activities across the project portfolio.
• Build and develop Design Delivery capabilities, talent, leadership pipelines, and delivery excellence within the GCC.
• Drive predictable delivery performance through effective scope, schedule, cost, resource, risk, and quality management.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are integrated, coordinated, and delivered in accordance with business, project, quality, and compliance requirements.

Accountabilities:

Functional Leadership

• Lead and develop Design Delivery Leads and delivery management capabilities across the GCC.
• Establish delivery management processes, tools, governance frameworks, and performance metrics.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and capability development.
• Drive consistency in delivery practices across all engineering disciplines.

Delivery Management

• Accountable for overall GCC delivery performance across projects and portfolios.
• Ensure effective planning, coordination, prioritization, and execution of multidisciplinary engineering activities.
• Drive scope, schedule, cost, resource, risk, and quality management practices.
• Ensure alignment between project requirements and engineering capabilities.

Quality, Governance & Performance

• Monitor delivery performance, KPIs, resource utilization, and capacity planning.
• Drive design quality, deliverable consistency, and lessons learned.
• Support governance reviews, escalation management, and decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with Takeda standards and engineering governance requirements.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary GCC interface for engineering delivery activities.
• Collaborate with Project Teams, Engineering Functions, Manufacturing Sites, and Business Stakeholders.
• Ensure clear communication of priorities, risks, resource requirements, and delivery commitments.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive delivery excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote digital tools, automation, standardization, and data-driven delivery management.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, predictability, quality, and efficiency.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: 

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Master's Degree preferred.

Experience:

• 15+ years of engineering, project delivery, design management, or capital project experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering organizations or project portfolios.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated industries.
• Experience with FEED, Detailed Design, and project delivery governance.
