Market Access Manager, Oncology (Lung, Heamatology and GI)

Are you ready to unlock patient access to breakthrough oncology therapies and set pricing strategies that shape the market? Do you thrive at the intersection of evidence generation, affordability, and payer partnerships to deliver tangible outcomes for patients and the business?

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end market access strategy for prioritized oncology brands—aligning pricing and reimbursement with clear value stories, building pathways that accelerate patient access, and guiding launch and lifecycle decisions. Working across brand, medical, finance, legal, and external stakeholders, you will translate clinical and economic evidence into real-world access and affordability solutions that improve patient outcomes and sustain growth.

Accountabilities:

  • Pricing and Reimbursement Strategy: Drive pricing analysis and recommendations by assessing competitive products and pricing, aligning with the brand value proposition, understanding customer groups (patients and physicians), and leading cross-functional Pricing Strategy discussions to set the pace for launch and lifecycle success.
  • Market and Policy Monitoring: Track shifts in trends, behaviors, and regulations across managed care, reimbursement environments, and federal/state frameworks; interpret likely impact and proactively recommend strategic actions to maintain competitiveness and compliance.
  • Competitive and Industry Insight: Build deep understanding of market conditions affecting pricing for individual brands and the broader industry; translate insights into practical strategy that protects access and value.
  • Financial Modelling and Scenario Planning: Provide modelling of pricing recommendations and financial impacts for new and existing products to inform decision-making, launch order, and pricing bands that optimize reach and sustainability.
  • Contracting and Net Price Strategy: Determine contracting and net price strategies, including risk-sharing arrangements and discounting; review contracting opportunities for financial and legal risk and compliance, ensuring responsible growth.
  • Access and Affordability Programs: Develop and execute reimbursement support and patient assistance services; create tiered pricing models and Patient Assistance Program business cases and gain approval to expand access ethically and effectively.
  • Innovation in Go-to-Market: Lead exploration and evaluation of novel pricing and contracting approaches; integrate leading-edge, competitive strategies into the pipeline to strengthen current and future brands.
  • Health Economics and Outcomes Research: Generate evidence including value stories and value dossiers; perform and analyze health technology assessments to substantiate value for money across oncology indications.
  • Analytics and Real-World Evidence Support: Partner with the Medical team to analyze clinical data prospectively and retrospectively; generate real-world evidence that supports access decisions and demonstrates outcomes in routine practice.
  • External Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted relationships and partnerships with payers and decision-makers, including CGD, NHSO, and SSO, to align policy, reimbursement, and contracting to patient needs and brand objectives.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 5+ years of experience in market access and reimbursement, preferably within the oncology pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven experience in market access strategy, pricing, reimbursement, health economics, real-world evidence, and payer engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative business and market access strategies that support business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including brand planning, market access, medical, regulatory, and commercial functions.
  • Experience engaging with a broad range of stakeholders, including government and political authorities, payers, healthcare professionals, professional associations, and patient advocacy groups.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, consulting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand business priorities and payer needs.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic projects and influence stakeholders without direct authority in a complex, cross-functional, and matrix environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer orientation, collaboration, networking, and partnering skills, with the ability to work effectively across national, regional, and local teams.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, with strong organizational and project management skills.
