DESCRIPTION:

The Assistant Manager / Manager, Clinical Trial Operations is responsible for leading the day-to-day clinical trial operations for a key customer account, with ownership of end-to-end clinical trial order processing and direct management of a team of approximately 10 team members.

 

This role ensures operational activities are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with customer, quality, and GxP requirements. The role will also drive process improvement and standardization to improve operational efficiency, quality, and service delivery.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day clinical trial operations and end-to-end order processing, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of customer requirements.

  • Manage and develop a team of approximately 10 team members, including workload planning, coaching, training, performance management, leave coverage, and resource planning.

  • Oversee operational activities including order management, shipment coordination, labeling, inventory, returns, documentation, system updates, and archiving.

  • Monitor workload, service levels, KPIs, and operational performance, ensuring risks, delays, and issues are identified and resolved promptly.

  • Ensure all activities comply with applicable SOPs, customer requirements, quality standards, GxP requirements, and internal procedures.

  • Coordinate quality activities including Mock Recall, audit support, Change Control, investigations, and implementation of operational changes.

  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and harmonization of operational processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality.

  • Work closely with Project Management, QA, Operations, vendors, global teams, and customers to resolve operational issues and support project requirements.

  • Support comparator sourcing, new projects, system improvements, operational changes, and other business requirements.

  • Build a strong team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Life Sciences, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in clinical trial operations, pharmaceutical supply chain, logistics, order management, or a similar operational environment.
