This role is ideal for a consultative technology sales professional who is energized by AI, accelerated computing, public-sector innovation, and helping government agencies address complex mission and technology challenges. As NVIDIA’s leader in AI and accelerated computing, we work with state and local government agencies to modernize services, improve operational resilience, strengthen public safety, and advance data-driven decision-making. We are looking for an Account Manager to build strategic relationships with State and Local customers, lead growth across a defined territory, and help agencies adopt NVIDIA’s technology platform.

In this full-time role, you will partner closely with NVIDIA solution architects, developer relations, product teams, business units, and channel partners. You will own the sales process from prospecting through close, develop account strategies, and translate agency priorities into clear, differentiated NVIDIA solutions.

You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales quota across state and local government accounts.

  • Build and execute territory and account plans that create sustainable revenue growth.

  • Develop trusted relationships with agency executives, IT leaders, program owners, technical teams, procurement stakeholders, and partner organizations.

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, presentations and demonstrations, proposal development, negotiation, forecasting, and closing.

  • Partner with solution architects, developer relations, product management, business units, and other internal teams to advance customer opportunities and support adoption of NVIDIA platforms.

  • Collaborate with technology channel partners, system integrators, resellers, and other ecosystem partners to expand market coverage and grow sales.

  • Accurately forecast pipeline, revenue, and deal progress to sales leadership.

  • Navigate public-sector procurement processes, contracting vehicles, budget cycles, and stakeholder environments.

What we need to see:

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying technology sales experience, with responsibility for the full sales cycle.

  • Experience working with strategic smart space ISVs

  • Demonstrated experience selling to state and local government organizations or other public-sector customers.

  • Experience working with technology industry channel partners, system integrators, and resellers to build go-to-market strategies.

  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, communication, presentation, and closing skills.

  • Exceptional customer relationship-management skills and the ability to engage effectively with technical, operational, procurement, and executive stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Willingness to travel minimum 25%

Ways to Stand out from the Crowd:

  • Experience supporting public-sector initiatives involving AI, data analytics, smart infrastructure, transportation, public safety, emergency response, healthcare, education, or citizen services.

  • Familiarity with data science workflows, modern machine learning, AI trends, and high-performance or accelerated computing.

  • Understanding of state and local government contracting vehicles and cooperative purchasing agreements.

  • A self-directed, resilient approach to operating in a dynamic, evolving technology market.

  • Strong listening skills, creativity, and the ability to influence diverse customer and partner stakeholders.

At NVIDIA, you will work alongside talented, driven people who are shaping the future of AI and accelerated computing. You will help state and local governments apply transformative technology to improve public services, advance mission outcomes, and better serve their communities.

Your cash compensation will be determined based on your location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions with 85% paid through base salary and 15% variable compensation. The cash compensation range is 148,000 USD - 235,750 USD.
