Pay Range: $26.00 - $28.00

How You Will Make an Impact:

As a Sr. Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the overarching success of the Quality Operations team. The QA Operation team reviews and monitors all clinical labeling documentation, as well as performs final quality release of all clinical labels manufactured in our Bohemia, NY facility. With the support of department leadership, you will support the team by ensuring that all batch record documentation (a real time record of everything that is manufactured) has been verified and that products meet the form, fit, and function requirements of our clients to safely and successfully serve their patients’ needs. You will also support the packing of clinical labels to ensure safety.

A Day in Life:

  • Perform real-time verification of job documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness with a 24-hour turnaround time.
  • Categorize and log all work performed in accordance with local procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Organize and maintain all batch records in clinical labeling custody including on-site storage and final archival.
  • Perform pack out of clinical labels to ensure safe delivery to client/packaging sites.
  • Participate in the PPI program by actively performing JDI and assisting with GEMBA

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in QA or QC or related field is required
  • Required: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices: Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and best practices. Understands inspection techniques, and relevant paperwork procedures. Familiar with quality control tools and able to interpret and analyze data effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy: Pays close attention to detail and maintains accuracy. Possesses a meticulous approach to their work, ensures that all documentation is completed with precision including the ability to identify and document deviations or non-conformities accurately, as well as the skill to spot potential quality issues and take appropriate actions.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills: Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Communicates' findings, observations, and recommendations clearly and concisely to colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Accurately records and maintains detailed reports, logbooks, and other quality control records. Ensures proper traceability and facilitates effective communication within the organization.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with QA tools, software testing frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Time Management: Efficiently managing time to meet deadlines and project milestones.
  • Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and environments.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and stakeholders.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Fast-paced environment which relies on teamwork to ensure jobs are completed within established timelines.
  • Must be able to lift to 30 lbs., 13.6 kgs.
  • Must be able to pack out clinical labels
  • 20/40 corrected vision required, subject to bi-annual testing

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $21.82–$36.36.
