Description:

We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to support the BioProduction Purification business within Thermo Fisher Scientific for the Southeast Asia and Taiwan region.

What Will You Do?

• Taking the lead in technical product specification, application and protocol optimization discussions with clients and prospects for the purification product portfolio in the Bioproduction Division (BPD) offering.

• Assist commercial team in identifying customer opportunities, needs, determine technical feasibility of purification requests and opportunities

• Serve as the primary field-based technical interface to potential and existing purification customers.

• Support POROS and Capture Select product lines and new product development activities for downstream processing

• Consultation on product evaluations and purification process development, chromatography optimization and troubleshooting, support pilot to large scale column

• Provide guidance on regulatory strategy during evaluation, qualification, and validation of bioproduction solutions.

• A knowledge leader, who through their own contributions, demonstrates advanced uses of purification products to develop key proof statements and marketing literature to support product launches, business and commercial teams.

• Participate in training programs for Commercial teams & Thermo Fisher Scientific staff and seminars to external customers to increase customer awareness of the purification product line & services, core competencies and increased technical skills of the BPD team

• Harmonizing with global Go-To-Market vision by ensuring regional alignment with Purification business unit (BU)

• Represent customer interests on product development teams, working with business and marketing colleagues to scope market segments, aid collection and analysis of voice of customer data and aid development of product positioning statements.

• Discover new sales opportunities by pre-sales activities and complete annual sales target.

How Will You Get Here?

• B.S. or higher degree in biochemistry, bioprocess, chemical engineering, biotechnology, biology or chemistry

• 8 years or above in a downstream process development setting where chromatography based purification methods were developed, scaled and validated or a similar chromatography resin vendor applications role, experience in a commercial environment preferred

• Understanding of cGMP regulatory environment

• Working as part of a highly effective team of professionals

• Self-motivated, proactive work ethics. Able to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision of the manager.

• Travel will be required

• Eloquent in English
