Principal Associate, SEC Reporting

We are seeking a highly motivated professional that is interested in working in a collaborative and dynamic financial services company to join our Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Reporting team. This Principal Associate will be foundational to the Controllers organization’s legal entity management, driving clarity, consistency, and
risk-based oversight across our legal entity landscape. We are looking for a curious-minded individual that enjoys working with data and collaborating across multiple teams in order to reach company-wide
and organizational-wide goals.


Responsibilities:
● Drive the establishment of a centralized oversight function of legal entity reporting
● Perform risk assessments to identify entities in scope
● Coordinate the legal entity storytelling function, including extracting, analyzing, and validating data from Onestream to provide leadership with drivers of legal entity results
● Act as a central liaison across cross-functional partners to ensure legal entity data remains accurate, consistent, and compliant with evolving regulatory and governance requirements
● Drive process improvements and support implementation of automation efforts
● Support quarterly Earnings and reporting cycle as necessary
● Support control processes and engage with audit and compliance groups as necessary
● Support ad-hoc research projects, peer analysis, and disclosure update proposals
● Support broader enterprise initiatives including building out materials and/or processes to support potential acquisitions/expansion/divestitures

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
