Every day, hundreds of millions of customers rely on Amazon Search to find the right product quickly—and the quality of those results directly shapes their shopping experience. We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead high-impact programs within Search Relevance.

The ideal candidate should have experience delivering in a fast-paced ambiguous environment, strong technical depth, and a bias for action. Success in this role requires a customer-centric approach, innovative thinking, strong problem solving skills and effective communication across technical and business stakeholders.




Key job responsibilities
• Drive the end-to-end delivery of large-scale programs that help the organization meet its long-term goals.
• Hire and develop exceptional technical talent in the organization.
• Partner with technical, and business stakeholders to align on priorities, drive consensus, and deliver results at scale.
• Work with science, engineering, product, and UX design to implement scalable, and efficient solutions to key customer problems in search.
• Define KPIs and metrics to measure success, identify areas for improvement and provide actionable updates to leadership through detailed reporting and insights.
• Act as the key connection point between engineering, business teams, ensuring alignment, effective communication, and seamless execution.
• Establish sustainable software development processes and best practices. Drive operational excellence and high-engineering standards on the team.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
