Principal Associate, Process Management - Content Marketing (Hybrid)

Capital One, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for an organized, data-driven Principal Process Manager to join our team. The Content Marketing Process Manager will help shape our operational direction and day-to-day execution plans. They will oversee article publishing across Capital One’s Learn & Grow and Discover’s Card Smarts content hubs, partnering closely with Content Strategy and Marketing teams to keep publishing efficient and aligned with business priorities.

This role combines project management, clear process improvement, and task prioritization to deliver real operational results. This person will proactively identify and solve organizational needs before they become roadblocks, turning complex workflows into clear, repeatable processes.

The ideal candidate is dedicated to maintaining high quality standards and constantly looks for ways to simplify and improve workflows.


Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day article publishing across Capital One and Discover content hubs, including directing contractor work to ensure priority content is published smoothly

  • Partner with Content Marketing teammates to plan and carry out operational updates, such as platform improvements and tool integrations, that improve results

  • Develop and maintain process documentation and drive continuous process improvements

  • Perform quality assurance checks on actions taken to ensure accuracy

  • Ensure our processes meet risk and compliance standards, making governance a clear, useful part of how we work and innovate

  • Manage a fluid publishing model, monitoring resource capacity and dynamic priorities to maintain a consistent publishing output

  • Act as the primary point of contact across teams, collaborating closely with business analysts, marketing, legal/risk, and platform teams to keep projects on track

  • Build supportive relationships with internal partners to ensure smooth execution

  • Simplify and improve internal workflows to remove inefficiencies

  • Set up clear project structures to manage complex projects effectively

  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and team requirements

  • Collaborate well with others, ensuring partners across the organization feel included and supported

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 3 years of Process Management or Project Management experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office or G Suite

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years of Project or Process Management experience

  • 2+ years of experience utilizing modern digital tools, such as google suite, social media platforms, or content management systems

  • 1+ years of experience working with digital marketing & content publishing operations

  • 1+ years of experience in management of multiple projects concurrently in an autonomous environment

  • Business Process Management, PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $108,900 - $124,300 for Principal Process Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
