The Technology Champion GPA role is a technical and analytical expert who supports data and technology development needs within Hire-to-Retire. This role is at the forefront of transforming Apple’s financial operations through innovative and AI-driven solutions. It is a critical technical and analytical leader, responsible for partnering with H2R, Finance, IS&T, and FDT teams to design, develop, and deploy solutions that drive efficiency, accuracy, and actionable insights. This role is a trusted business partner; engaging across various functions to support data analysis, enhance existing products, and support product users. This role requires a passion for emerging technologies, a strong understanding of financial processes, and the ability to translate complex business needs into impactful technical solutions.
Responsibilities
AI-Powered Process Optimization: Analyze current H2R business processes and data flows to identify opportunities for AI/ML-driven automation, predictive analytics, and intelligent decision-making.
Data Savvy: Leverage data from diverse sources (Snowflake, EDW, external APIs, etc.) to fuel technology solutions and advanced analytics.
Solution Development & Deployment: Develop end-to-end solutions, leveraging a modern technology stack (SQL, Python, Dataiku, cloud platforms) to create stand-alone or integrated AI models, data visualizations, and analytic applications.
Insight Communication & Storytelling: Translate complex data insights into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for Finance stakeholders and leadership, using compelling visualizations and data storytelling techniques.
Data Governance & Security: Awareness of data security protocols and privacy and SOX requirements, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies
AI Technology Research & Evaluation: Continuously research and evaluate emerging AI technologies, data science methodologies, and data visualization tools to enhance the team's technical capabilities and drive innovation.
Finance Data Wizard Enablement: Mentor and guide Finance data wizards, providing technical expertise, best practices, and governance models.
Minimum Qualifications
Current experience in the Global Business Solutions (GBS) organization.
4-8 years of strong technical, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Experience with, or the ability to quickly learn business processes, an eagerness to learn new technologies, and strong communication and influencing skills are key differentiators.
Proven experience in implementing and supporting data analysis and AI/ML models
Understanding of relational database concepts and hands-on experience with common database platforms
Expertise in programming languages such as Python and SQL
Data modeling experience using large datasets and ability to interpret the output of those large datasets
Demonstrated proficiency with common data visualization tools such as Tableau
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract, understand, and document business requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of modern data security requirements, experience with applying data encryption and data security standards a plus
Corporate finance and accounting experience a major advantage
