About the role
Original posting provided by amazon
You'll design and implement scalable network configuration management systems that automate deployment and validation across a wide variety of network equipment, while developing configuration drift detection and remediation capabilities that ensure operational consistency. Working in close partnership with Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, and AI/ML teams globally, you'll translate operational needs into practical technical solutions and build automation frameworks using infrastructure-as-code fundamentals that allow our business to scale with customer demand.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and build scalable network configuration management systems that automate deployment and validation across hundreds of thousands of devices in Amazon Fulfillment Centers worldwide
- Develop full-stack automation solutions spanning frontend interfaces to backend systems, enabling network engineers to execute complex infrastructure changes safely at scale
- Architect configuration drift detection and remediation frameworks using infrastructure-as-code fundamentals, preventing network incidents before they impact operations
- Own end-to-end delivery of projects by building proprietary tools, collaborating across teams, and contributing to code reviews and operational readiness reviews
- Create clear, accurate documentation and runbooks that enable team members to maintain and extend systems they did not originally build
A day in the life
You'll start your day reviewing operational metrics and alerts for the network configuration systems your team owns, then shift into focused coding time where you build and improve automation tools. Collaboration is a regular part of your routine — you'll pair with network engineers to understand their pain points, participate in design reviews with teammates, and troubleshoot configuration issues that arise across Fulfillment Centers. You'll also spend time coaching newer team members on system architecture and operational practices, helping the team continuously raise the bar on quality.
Amazon offers a full range of benefits to support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and children. Benefits can vary by location, the number of regularly scheduled hours you work, length of employment, and job status such as seasonal or temporary employment. The benefits that generally apply to regular, full-time employees include:
1. Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage
2. Maternity and Parental Leave Options
3. Paid Time Off (PTO)
4. 401(k) Plan
If you are not sure that every qualification on the list above describes you exactly, we'd still love to hear from you! At Amazon, we value people with unique backgrounds, experiences, and skillsets. If you’re passionate about this role and want to make an impact on a global scale, please apply!
About the team
