Job Description

Visa is seeking a Director of Product to help define and build the next generation of commercial payment experiences powered by agentic technologies. 

This role is focused on identifying, validating, and commercializing new opportunities at the intersection of AI and B2B payments. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, partners and internal product teams to understand how agents can solve business payments friction points and strengthen Visa's strategic position within the emerging agentic commerce ecosystem. 

We are looking for someone who is naturally curious and actively experiments with new technologies. The ideal candidate combines strong product instincts, commercial thinking, deep empathy for customer pain points, and a hands-on interest in AI. This is role focuses on shaping what comes next rather than optimizing what exists today. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Identify New Sources of Customer and Business Value 

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer pain points across procurement, accounts payable, supplier management, treasury, purchasing, expense management, and broader B2B commerce workflows. 

  • Identify opportunities where AI agents can eliminate friction, automate decision making, improve controls, reduce costs, or unlock entirely new user experiences. 

  • Develop strategic perspectives on how agentic technologies will reshape commercial payments and translate those insights into product opportunities and business cases. 

  • Evaluate emerging market trends, customer needs, and technology developments to identify areas where Visa can create differentiated value. 

Build the Future of Agent-Enabled Commercial Payments 

  • Define and test new concepts that leverage AI agents to improve commerce and payment experiences for businesses. 

  • Partner with customers and ecosystem participants to validate real-world use cases and quantify business impact. 

  • Develop product strategies, hypotheses, and roadmaps for new capabilities, services, and solutions. 

  • Bring successful concepts from exploration through pilot and commercialization. 

Drive Revenue Growth and Strategic Differentiation 

  • Identify opportunities to create new revenue streams, deepen customer engagement, and expand Visa's role within business workflows. 

  • Define how Visa can differentiate through agent-enabled experiences rather than simply participating in emerging ecosystems. 

  • Partner with sales, partnerships, regional teams, and product organizations to bring new offerings to market. 

  • Build business cases and commercialization strategies for emerging products and services. 

Stay Ahead of Emerging Technology Shifts 

  • Maintain a deep understanding of developments across AI agents, orchestration frameworks, automation platforms, developer ecosystems, and commerce technologies. 

  • Evaluate new technologies and assess their potential impact on commercial payments and money movement.  Includes assessment of partners. 

  • Develop informed viewpoints on topics such as autonomous purchasing, agent-to-agent commerce, embedded finance, intelligent procurement, and AI-enabled business workflows. 

  • Serve as a thought partner to product and leadership teams on the future of commerce and payments. 

Qualifications

 

Required 

  • 8-12+ years of product management, strategy, fintech, payments, or related experience. 

  • Strong understanding of commercial payments, procurement, accounts payable, ERP systems, treasury, fintech, or adjacent ecosystems. 

  • Demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities and translate them into products, business initiatives, partnerships, or growth strategies. 

  • Strong customer-centric mindset with experience uncovering unmet needs and developing solutions to address them. 

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and operate effectively in rapidly evolving markets. 

Preferred 

  • Deep interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies. 

  • Experience building agents, automations, copilots, workflows, or AI-powered applications, professionally or as a hobbyist or business owner. 

  • Familiarity with modern AI ecosystems, agent frameworks, orchestration tools, and developer platforms. 

  • Strong commercial instincts and experience bringing new products and services to market. 

  • Builder mentality with a bias toward experimentation, learning, and action. 



Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $192,300 to $307,600 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
