Team Description
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments.
Within VCA exists VCA Implementation Services (VIS), a hands-on execution partner, implementing, operating, and optimizing Visa products in client environments to accelerate activation, portfolio growth, risk control, and data-driven performance.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with deep expertise in card processing operations, processor migration, and card issuance projects. The ideal candidate will act as the expert orchestrator between the processor, issuer/acquirer, and card brand, ensuring seamless execution of complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end projects related to:
- New card launches involving processing setup.
- Processor migrations and upgrades.
- Day-to-day card processing operations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the processor, issuer/acquirer, and card network.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and card brand specifications.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate technical integrations, testing, and certification processes.
- Provide status reporting to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement in card operations and migration processes
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Proven experience in card processing and operations within a card processing company or payment network.
- Strong background in processor migration and upgrade projects.
- Solid understanding of card issuance, acquiring, and transaction flows.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Familiarity with card brand requirements
- Excellent project management skills (PMP or similar certification preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a card processing environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance in payments.
- Technical proficiency in payment systems, APIs, and integration processes.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
