Sanofi Business Operations (SBO) is an internal Sanofi resource organization based in India and is setup to centralize processes and activities to support Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines, CHC, CMO, and R&D, Data & Digital functions​. SBO strives to be a strategic and functional partner for tactical deliveries to Medical, HEVA, Market Access and Commercial organizations​ in Sanofi, Globally.

Main responsibilities:

The overall purpose and main responsibilities are listed below:

  • As Group Lead – HEVA Communications & Market Access within Business Operations, collaborate closely with Global HEVA and Market Access teams to support development of strategic deliverables for key areas: HEVA Communications, HEVA Business Partner Support, Market Access Core, and Market Access Operations.

  • Operate effectively as a leader of leaders with approx. 5 Team Lead direct reports, ensuring strong communication and cohesive ways of working across the team and with relevant Global Business Unit stakeholders. Create synergies and provide functional and operational direction to multiple therapy area (TA) teams and processes.

  • Act as strategic thought partner to the TA HEVA and Global Market Access teams to identify areas for Business Operations support and collaboration. Maintain effective relationships with the end stakeholders ensuring alignment and appropriate capabilities and resourcing to achieve business priorities. Partner with HEVA, Global Market Access, RWE, Clinical, Medical Affairs, and Marketing.

  • Oversee teams of HEOR scientific writers, Business Partner support, Operations and Market Access specialists for multiple TA’s. Coach and develop Team leads, expert and senior writers or similar roles (on contents, methods, processes). Provide leadership across teams to ensure clear communication, quality and excellence of major deliverables as per plan, and robust support model for business deliverables.

  • Process & Operations: Support delivery of HEVA publications (Slide decks, Abstract, poster, manuscript), communications plan, and other strategic HEVA and market access deliverables, in terms of resourcing, quality, timeliness, efficiency, and high technical standards. Contribute to overall quality enhancement by ensuring high scientific standards for the output produced by the HEVA group.

  • Develop and maintain expertise in TA and on key market access and HEOR trends/ developments in the industry. Plan for innovation and future-ready capabilities within HEVA Communications and Market Access teams.

About you

  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in health economics, market access, public health, epidemiology, or other relevant health-related scientific discipline for the pharmaceuticals industry, consultancy or academia with significant experience developing strategic deliverables and leading teams.

  • Soft skills: Ability to influence and negotiate. Demonstrate effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Proven track record leading teams in a project/matrix-oriented environment as part of a multidisciplinary global team. Ability to handle multiple internal stakeholder relationships across different therapeutic areas. Strong customer focus. Excellent communication skills and ability to understand and present complex information in digestible ways for internal (e.g. senior management) and external audiences. Strong team spirit, sense of transversality, multicultural awareness, and ability to drive matrix teams.

  • Technical skills: Robust understanding of reimbursement decisions to determine value drivers and how evidence is used in decision making and how it impacts various payers (e.g., providers, patients, health systems). Understanding of the disease environment and developing value communications for payer stakeholders. Robust understanding of content creation and scientific writing methods applied to HEVA deliverables. Project management leadership experience.

  • Education: Advanced degree in life sciences/pharmacy/similar discipline, business or medical degree

  • Languages: Excellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written)
