Original job description

Content provided by the employer

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

The Sr. Product Manager – Technical role in Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) Technical Operations will be at the forefront of defining requirements and building government customer system that will enable satellite broadband contract lifecycle management, broadband ordering and product fulfillment, including both direct government engagements, subcontractors and value-added reseller partnerships. This will include integrations into upstream and downstream systems.

This role will be the Single-Threaded Owner (STO) for large, complex, and strategic business and technology initiatives. The role will own business requirements, solution architectures, project plans, align teams, and track progress for multiple interconnected workstreams.

Key job responsibilities
This Technical Product & Program Management role is a highly visible position across Amazon Leo organizations. You will participate in developing the government contract lifecycle management, broadband order delivery and supply chain systems integration strategy and vision, and develop product roadmaps to execute on that vision. This role is inherently cross-functional; you will work closely with engineering, sales, ecommerce, networking, logistics, program management, design, technical support, and executive teams to launch products, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance the Amazon Leo customer experience. We are looking for a highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team-oriented individual who also has the ability to work independently under significant time constraints to meet deadlines. You will need a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. This includes owning the end-to-end management and implementation of communication between government customers and internal teams for customer systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Drive systems development readiness spanning different groups of partner types with varying needs, while maintaining a robust view of risks and opportunities for launching service in new countries for ALG.
• Develop systems capability roadmap plans with internal and external stakeholders.
• Evaluate and recommend product and service enhancements that improve the contract onboarding, ordering, fulfillment, and programmatic service management experience for government customers.
• Communicate progress across various workstreams to senior/executive leadership.
• Identify partner needs, define business requirements, and launch new features which improve our overall customer experience and value proposition.
• Manage new projects end-to-end while ensuring our high standards are maintained.

Candidates must be able to obtain
and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI, so you must be a U.S.
citizen for consideration.
