Pfizer Newbridge is offering current undergraduate and MSc students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at one of Ireland's largest pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

Located in Co. Kildare, Pfizer Newbridge is a centre of excellence for the manufacture of solid-dose medicines and supplies products to patients in more than 100 countries worldwide. The site plays a critical role within Pfizer's global supply network and continues to invest in innovative technologies, manufacturing capabilities and future growth.

During your placement, you will gain exposure to industry-leading pharmaceutical operations, work on meaningful projects, and develop skills that will help prepare you for a successful career in the biopharmaceutical industry.

We are looking for smart, motivated and committed problem-solvers who are excited to learn, collaborate and develop their future careers in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Opportunities are available for Science and Engineering students seeking a placement of 3-6 months through our recruitment partner, Cpl.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable industry experience, enhance your technical and professional skills, and work alongside experienced Pfizer colleagues.

Successful interns may also have the opportunity to apply for future roles within Pfizer, including positions on our award-winning Graduate Programme, subject to business needs and programme eligibility requirements.

Important Eligibility Requirement

This internship is only open to students who are currently enrolled in a college or university qualification in a Science, Engineering or related STEM discipline.

Applicants must remain actively enrolled in their course during the recruitment process.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate should:

  • Be currently completing an honours degree (or equivalent/higher qualification) in a Science, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Be legally eligible to work in Ireland for the full duration of the internship.
  • Be available to undertake a placement of at least 3 months in 2027.
  • Be interested in gaining experience within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
  • Liaise with their university careers or placement team regarding the recruitment process where required.

Recruitment Process

Step 1 - Application & Questionnaire

There are two parts to Step 1:

Part A: Submit your application, CV and complete the application questions.

Part B: Shortlisted candidates will receive a questionnaire via email from our recruitment assessment partner, Psychologic. Candidates will be provided with a deadline to complete this questionnaire.

Both Part A and Part B must be completed in order to be considered for the next stage of the process.

Step 2 - Online Aptitude Tests

Candidates who successfully complete Step 1 will be invited to complete online aptitude testing. Details will be communicated via email.

Step 3 - Interview

Candidates who are successful at Step 2 will be invited to attend an interview on-site at Pfizer Newbridge.

Step 4 - Offer & Pre-Employment Screening

Successful candidates will be contacted by Cpl regarding their offer, next steps and pre-employment screening requirements.
