Key job responsibilities
- Define product requirements for travel platform capabilities that improve self-service, reduce support contacts, and eliminate manual processes.
- Own and drive the product roadmap with third-party technology partners: prioritize feature requests, facilitate deep-dive sessions, make trade-off decisions, and hold partners accountable to commitments and SLAs.
- Define, track, and report program-level success metrics (self-service rates, adoption, platform health, cost-to-serve) to measure product impact and drive prioritization.
- Drive platform migration and automation initiatives, informing build-vs-buy decisions and coordinating phased rollouts, stakeholder communication, and deprecation of legacy processes.
- Identify and resolve cross-functional blockers by partnering with internal teams (category management, customer care, customer engagement, data) and external vendor engineering and product teams.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate product vision into technical solutions, contributing to technology decisions and integration strategy.
- Produce data-driven narratives for leadership reviews (MBRs, QBRs), translating product performance into business impact and strategic recommendations.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, make trade-offs, and balance employee experience against technical and resource constraints.
- Write compelling requirements documents, strategy narratives, and business cases that contribute to executive alignment and cross-organizational decision-making.
A day in the life
You review platform health dashboards and adoption metrics, identifying what shipped, what's working, and what needs iteration. You spend time with your technology partners pressure-testing requirements and debating which features will move the needle most for travelers. You synthesize competing inputs — customer pain points, operational cost drivers, partner constraints — into a clear prioritization call, then align stakeholders on the path forward. You end the day checking adoption data from last month's release, turning what you learn into next sprint's input. You build first, then let the data tell you what to build next.
