Job Description:
For Visa to deliver on the vision of the best way to pay and be paid for everyone, everywhere, Product Reliability Engineer (PRE) must provide best-in-class infrastructure and applications services that are secure, scalable, continuously available, and run on software-defined infrastructures. As an Product Reliability Engineer, We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day.
• The candidate will work as a technical expert to drive the issue bridges, provide fixes and follow the production best practices.
• Engage with cross-functional co-located teams in design, development and implementation of enterprise scalable features related to enabling higher developer productivity, environment monitoring and self-healing, and facilitate autonomous delivery teams.
• Support, troubleshoot and analyze code on all 3 layers of the stack related to infrastructure, middleware, and continuous integration and delivery frameworks.
• You will meet the strict OLA and SLA commitments and work closely with the internal teams to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the systems.
• You will support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities, will work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables.
• Integrating Code Quality tools and Code Analysis tools into IDE’s.
• The candidate will demonstrate technology expertise and system knowledge to keep the system stable with zero impact to the business. Work with cross-functional co-located teams in design & development to enable higher productivity, environment monitoring and self-healing capability.
• Will be responsible for programming a feature and or a feature set that will enhance our availability, resilience and Security. You will establish foundation for future implementations and automation requirements in the environment.
• You will be primary in investigating root cause of severe and systemic outages & identify corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis to address and resolve issues and keep them from repeating.
• Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews.
• Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.
• Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
• Will provide impact assessment and mitigation plan for changes going into the production environment and predication of successful rate of changes planned in the environment.
• Performing code and quality reviews, managing operations, triaging and fixing operational and application issues.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from reputed college.
