Overview:
The Business Development Manager plays a key role in supporting Visa’s Business Development team to identify, engage and convert new-to-Visa clients, while driving commercial strategy, deal structuring and execution across priority growth opportunities. The role supports opportunities through the full lifecycle, including qualification, commercial modelling, pipeline management, internal approvals, contracting, onboarding and implementation. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, the role helps deliver successful client and commercial outcomes and requires strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management skills and a results-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing commercial strategies to win new business and support new client acquisition.
- Maintaining and governing the new business pipeline, including lead qualification, opportunity prioritisation, forecasting, reporting and stakeholder alignment.
- Managing opportunities through the full deal lifecycle, from qualification and origination through contracting, onboarding and implementation.
- Building and maintaining relationships across industry participants, partners and prospects to generate new opportunities and strengthen Visa's growth pipeline.
- Developing and delivering new client presentations, sales collateral and integrated propositions that leverage Visa's network, technology and value-added services capabilities.
- Collaborating with regional and local finance teams to develop financial models and commercial proposals for new deal opportunities.
- Supporting colleagues with commercial and deal structuring guidance.
- Developing content and engagement strategies for industry bodies and events.

- Experience in, and passion for, constructing, managing and negotiating partnership deals that support Visa’s growth strategy.
- Experience developing, building and securing new commercial relationships. You have constructed and negotiated complex deals that meet customer needs and deliver win-win partnership outcomes. You are comfortable navigating through commercial, technical and legal requirements to successfully execute contracts.
- Experience managing business development pipelines, opportunity governance and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization and managing internal stakeholders to secure alignment and approvals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage opportunities through the end-to-end sales lifecycle, including contracting, onboarding and implementation.
- Excellent client engagement and business development skills that build deep, trust-based partnerships and drive mutual growth.
