Summary:
As an AEM + AI Native Application Developer, you will design, build, and configure Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) applications to meet business process and application requirements, while bringing production-grade AI engineering capabilities to accelerate delivery and unlock new experience patterns. A typical day involves collaborating with various teams to understand their needs, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring that applications are aligned with business objectives. You will engage in problem-solving activities, apply AI-assisted and agentic development workflows, manage project timelines, and contribute to the overall success of application development initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities:
a. Requirement Analysis & Component Development: Analyse business requirements using AI tools to synthesize briefs and generate component specifications build and configure AEM components using Sling Models, OSGi, HTL, and Java with AI accelerating boilerplate and scaffolding
b. Testing, Debugging & Quality Ownership: Apply AI-generated test cases and AI-assisted debugging to improve coverage and reduce defect cycle times validate all AI-generated outputs with engineering judgement — AI assists, you own the quality
c. Content Modelling & Integration: Participate in AEM content modelling, taxonomy planning, and MSM activities support integration with third-party APIs and DAM systems using LLM APIs and AI-assisted code review
d. Prompt Engineering & Collaboration: Apply AEM-specific prompt engineering for component generation, OSGi configuration, and code review contribute reusable prompts to shared team libraries collaborate with architects to translate designs into working implementations
e. AEMaaCS & Cloud Best Practices: Work within AEMaaCS environments including Cloud Manager pipelines and cloud-native OSGi patterns use AI to generate pipeline configurations and deployment checklists catch cloud-incompatible patterns before they reach pipelines
f. EDS: AEM Edge Delivery Services — document-based authoring and block development concepts use AI to accelerate EDS pattern understanding and block scaffolding

Professional & Technical Skills:
a. AEM Core: Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites development
b. AEM Development: Hands-on experience with AEM component development using HTL (Sightly), Sling Models, OSGi/Felix, and Java
c. AEMaaCS: Familiarity with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), including Cloud Manager pipelines and cloud-native deployment patterns
d. AEM EDS (Basic): Basic awareness of AEM Edge Delivery Services (EDS), including its document-based authoring model and block development concepts
e. AI-Assisted Development: Demonstrated hands-on use of AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude) integrated into daily AEM development — with practical examples of AI-driven problem-solving, component generation, and iteration
f. LLM API Integration: Direct experience calling LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) in application code, with understanding of token management, latency, and cost trade-offs
g. Programming Languages: Strong Java and JavaScript proficiency in HTL (Sightly) Python
h. Adobe Platform Developers APIs (AEM, Firefly, AEP, AJO, etc)
i. Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud fundamentals (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Docker containers, and CI/CD pipelines
j. Agile Delivery: Understanding of Agile delivery fundamentals and sprint-based development


Additional Information:
a. Bachelor s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
b. 2+ years of commercial AEM development experience in production environments (or equivalent demonstrated through client projects, internships, or significant personal/open-source projects)
c. Ability to validate, evaluate, and improve AI-generated outputs understanding of AI limitations and responsible use
d. A 15-year full-time education background is required
